Demo Reel Progress Check - Rig Tests

Below are a few tests I ran for my creature rig that I will be using for my demo reel.

I have included a stretchy spine and stretchy neck and a head movement locking control to determine the translation space and orientation space for the head, i.e. to have to head move with shoulders, torso, or none of the above.

The arm is both FK and IK enabled and includes a control to switch between the two.

The leg is IK enabled and includes built in foot/leg controls such as a heel raise, a toe raise, and a toe pivot.

Texturing Test

A Visit to the Toronto Zoo - Remembering How to Draw Again

I swung by the Toronto Zoo yesterday morning for a quick stroll to unwind from school and a drawing session to get back into the swing of things. Four months of not drawing has wreaked havoc the ol'drawing skill, but the session was still a good one as I was able to leave with one decent drawing.

Demo Reel Progress Check

Sorry about the long delay between posts. It has been a scramble to get to the last week of school (yes, I am at the end of my 3 years at Seneca's Animation Program). Luckily most of the heavy lifting has been done and it will be much smoother from here on out.

To start back into the swing of blogging again, here are couple images documenting my model with a quick Zbrush texturing test in preparation for creating a Mental Ray SSS Skin Shader in Maya.
