First Flash Animation - Walk Start and Stop

I have started to learn how to animate in Flash for one of my classes this term. Here is one of the first major assignments. I was required to create a character from an existing Flash cartoon style and then animate the character starting into a walk stopping from a walk (the actual walk is a walk cycle).

Hey man,

Thanks! Familiar eh? What can I say...I'm inspired by the world around me.

very interesting....seems quite complicated to do a 3d vector animation in a 2d program like flash....i see subtle head tilting in the walk (tilting left and right)....curious on how you did that...if you did it in a manual way (like each keyframe is a cell in animation), or with some kind of tween...

looks like fun

It seemed complicated to me at first as well when the instructor showed us this "2.5D" technique, but after learning all the cheats and tricks, it turned out to be simpler than expected. As for the animation, you pretty much pose out the character in to key positions and then let Flash tween everything in between, adjusting wherever the movement looked wonky.
