Dark Stalkers Tribute

So...I intended to enter the Dark Stalkers tribute contest (the funny thing is that I didn't know a thing about Dark Stalkers until a month ago), but it turns out that I have way to much work to do to get something done in time. In any event, here is a quick painting I did when brainstorming in my layout class (yes...I should have been paying attention in class, but I was too tired to listen, so needed to do something to stay awake).

This is really good, it reminds me of the artist, Makoto Tsuchibayashi, from Sengoku Basara and a game you might know better, Shinobi (both for ps2).

I really appreciate his style even though I can't find a lot of people who do...

Anyway you don't know me. I found you as one of Khaled's followers and went to visit your page (hope you don't mind). I am currently bored and don't want to do my essay...so I'm wasting time.

But I still like your painting! =)

Thanks. I don't mind people dropping by my blog (on purpose or by accident) and leaving comments. I encourage people to leave comments especially if they can provide constructive criticism (in your case, introducing me to a new artist to look up). It's one of the reasons for having this blog up in the first place. And yes, Shinobi I do know. I'll have to look up Makoto Tsuchibayashi when I get a chance.

Some really nice work Baran. I feel though that some of your art looks a little angry. May I suggest incorporating more flowers and puppies into your portfolio.

Hey Ron,

Thanks. Yah, it does seem a little angry doesn't it? I will definitely try to look for my inner happy place and incorporate more puppies and flowers into future art. No guarantees though...
